1. Vivienne Westwood

Designer Vivienne Westwood's outrageous sense of style can cause calamity on the catwalk.

The most infamous example occurred when supermodel Naomi Campbell stumbled and fell while modeling a pair of towering “super elevated gillie” platforms with 9-inch heels and 4-inch platforms from Westwood’s 1993 fall-winter Anglomania collection.

The infamous platforms now reside in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

2. Ruby Slippers

In the original novel, The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Dorothy's shoes were silver, not ruby.

However, when the MGM musical went into production, Hollywood had just begun using a process known as Technicolor. The filmmakers decided that silver wouldn't pop quite that well once the film went from black and white to color and thus, it was decided that Dorothy's slippers would become ruby.
