How to wear the Military Trend

Attention!

Military-inspired fashion remains in full-force this winter and will persist well into next year, with some items including the military jacket and lace up boots set to become on-going classics.

Whereas previously military fashion has been quite rigid, this season it is more relaxed and easy to wear.. We're now seeing softer cargos, less structured jackets and more flowy looks.

STYLE TIP: Remember it comes to military clothing you don't have to go over the top. Just add just a touch of something that looks military inspired and you're on-trend!

Military colours

Army green is the key colour of the military trend followed a distant second by navy. Camouflage prints are around but are not gernally popular among stylists.

Wear with: Brown, chocolate suede, tan and black accessories.

Cargo pants

Military inspired cargo pants are a chic and comfortable choice. Team up with a tailored elements like a structured blazer and a scarf..

Wear with: Ballets, lace ups and pull on ankle boots. Or take Victoria Beckham's lead and wear them with a pair of killer heels!

Feminine touch

Military-inspired clothing and accessories are quite masculine, so it's advisable to add a feminine touch to the overall outfit.. A faux fur, a floaty floral dress, a pretty scarf, a ballerina skirt..

The result is fashion forward and very effective.
